Hello and welcome to the COFFICE Review!
Throughout this blog I will be reviewing a number of coffee shops (and/or) cafes around the city centre, deciding whether or not they are suitable and can be used as a remote working area/office – hence the title ‘coffice’ (coffee, office… get it?)
Over the past few years, and with a particular shout out to Covid-19, remote working has become more and more popular within the business world, encouraging a demand for remote and co-working spaces across the city centre – which I am looking forward to exploring.
In all honesty, working from home was a struggle for myself, as I know it has been for many others – especially in peak lockdown. With many workplaces opting to continue with remote working, and most of our university classes continuing to take place on zoom, it’s useful for us to know of some social settings where you can work ‘remotely’.
If you’re like me, you’re probably not always motivated by working from home, surrounded by the same four walls, 5 days a week. Working from home can be isolating, distracting and can take a toll on your mental health – but it doesn’t have to! Getting up, getting ready and getting out the house can make all the difference.
Even if you’re not heading to your usual workplace, the hustle and bustle of the city centre, a wee swatch in the shops on the high street, getting some fresh Glasgow air or looking forward to meeting a friend for a coffee can help lift your mood and boost your motivation to work.
Stick by for the first Coffice Review coming soon!
Love it!
